Set up Encryption for a THQ Laptop

This guide will instruct you to set up Bitlocker Encryption on a windows machine.

The following prerequisits are needed before enabling bitlocker.

  • Secure Boot enabled
  • UEFI boot method (instead of Legacy)

1. Go to control panel -> System and Security -> Bitlocker Drive Encryption.

2. Click Turn on Bitlocker.

3. Save the recovery key to a USB flash drive or shared drive. You will need to email this file to Kenny so he can add it to a spreadsheet. Do not lose this file! Once you have saved the file, click Next.

4. Once prompted, activate Bitlocker as instructed.
